Well done to all the children that got through auditions and performed at our Talent Show! Particular congratulations to Saoirse in Year 1 and Lucas in Y5 for winning the Infant and Junior categories respectively! It was amazing to see so much talent at our school!

Big Lent Walk - March 2025
All the children have been taking part in the Big Lent Walk during Lent. Many children like to run so that they can complete as many laps as possible. They have collected sponsorship to raise funds for people in other parts of the world that don't have as much as we do.

Torbay Food Alliance - March 2025
A representative from the Torbay Food Alliance came to visit Reception Class and told us all about the amazing work the food banks do across Torbay helping people in need. We have been collecting donations for the food bank over the last few weeks and Kelly was able to take our donations away to distribute in the community.

The Skipping Ninja - February 2025
Pete Thompson - five times world skipping champion visited us. After a mind-blowing demonstration, pupils learned how Pete found skipping hard at first but persevered to achieve his skipping world records. They also learned about how physical activity is good for their mental health. Each class enjoyed a workshop where they showed off their fantastic skipping skills! It's safe to say, OLOTA now has the skipping bug!

Air Ambulance - February 2025

The children were invited to wear their Pudsey merchandise to school for a small donation and we raised over £80!

Year Six Residential Trip to Barton Hall - October 2024
The Year 6 children had a busy few days away at PGL Barton Hall last week!
Activities included... fencing, abseiling, the zip wire, archery, canoeing, the giant swing, aeroball and the sensory trail - a blindfolded walk in the woods over some very wet and muddy obstacles! There were many challenges and the children had to face some of their fears to complete them all!

Girl's League Final Night - Runners up! - May 2024

RNLI Visit to Y5 - April 2024
Year 5 were visited by lifeguards from the RNLI. They took part in an interactive session to educate them about water safety, risks at the beach, the role of beach lifeguards and about the RNLI.

We started the day making cookies in the technology department before carrying out some fun science experiments.
In the afternoon, we worked off our delicious lunch with a cricket skills session before ending the day pretending to be animals in the drama studio! What a busy day!
